The 2018 peony harvest is in full swing! Festiva Maxima was our first variety to come online, a fregrant white with flecks of red, and then quickly there after, a pink, Felix Crousse, followed up by a blush, My Love. With 80 degree temps yesterday, the flowers are loving life, and we should see our first Sara Bernhardt's come online today.
Yesterday was also our first Saturday at the local Tanana Valley Farmer's Market. Alaska Peony Flowers has a booth at the Market every Wednesday and Saturday once peony season gets underway. At the Farmer's Market we sell short stems, and provide information about our farm and the flowers that we have available for weddings and other special events.
